Hi! I'm from Fresno California. I have had chickens for 2 years. My chicken addiction started when my husband brought home a rescued hen that someone didn't want anymore. I explained to him that she needed friends, because I'd seen the cartoons where they sit and gossip while laying and knitting baby booties.

I have 1 Sussex, 2 Red Stars, 2 Buff Laced Polish- all full grown ladies. I have 4 Sebrights (2 silver & 2 gold), 2 Ameracaunas, 2 Marans, and 2 White Silkies- all chicks in the brooder. I feel like I have the neighbors game hens and rooster sometimes- they like to hop the fence and forage. But they always run away when I yell "Look, I found chickens for FREE!"
