(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We got our first chickens a little over year ago. I have always wanted them, and my daughter said her class was hatching some as a science assignment and she got to take them home.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
7 with 4 on the way this weekend that we are hoping our broody will adopt
(3) What breeds do you have?
My husband calls them my emotional support hens because they just calm me down and ease anxiety. I love seeing my daughters loving on the chickens, especially when one of my kids has a grumpuer temperament and is just so tender hearted with her chickies.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I work a lot and have adventures with my family, and I don't have a lot of hobbies outside my chicken watching.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a great job as a medical scribe at a gastroenterology clinic. I'm married, and we have 2 daughters, a newfoundland (dog), and a jackass cat.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community
I have been reading for a long time and decided I wanted to contribute too
