NEW HERE, looking for COOP inspo

Hi everyone. I am new to the backyard chicken scene. We are planning to get our chicks tomorrow.. the chick set-up is all ready, but we are looking for inspiration for the coop and run. We are in central NJ, so its a general backyard size. I would like to turn a playhouse into a coop and attach a run from amazon to it. Looking forward to nonstop browsing!

Congrats! How many chicks are you getting? Be sure to remember the general recommendations of 4 sq ft / bird of coop space and at least 10 sq ft / bird in the run!

There are many people here who can help you with what's best for your situation!

Welcome! From central NJ as well! We rehabbed an existing coop and use a small run for the day. Do you have pictures and dimensions of the playhouse? Sounds like a fun project! Don't wait to get started though, chicks grow fast. How many are you getting and from where?

Welcome to BYC. What type playhouse are you planning to convert? A small plastic playhouse would not have enough space for more than two birds.
