Hi

My name is Terri. I’m an early retired agribusiness professional.

I almost died in 2017 and following that was in Hurricane Harvey and hospitalized for 10 months.

I got out weak and not fourishing. I pushed myself to volunteer at a local family farm. It has taken me 7 months to feel well enough to know I’m truly making a difference. And I’m feeling well!

The chickens and turkeys own my ♥️. I’m an avid horseman, but find myself drawn to learning more about poultry. Thank you in advance for helping my education!

Warmly

Terri

Welcome, Terri. I am glad you are recovering from your illnesses, and I hope your recovery continues. BYC is a fun place to learn and share about chickens and many other types of birds. Please feel free to explore the forums and articles, and to question or contribute whenever you want to.

Thank you so much everyone! We have Americana’s, Rhodes, Easter Eggers, Terk-Ens and some crosses. Also we have white Turkeys the young lady raised for 4-h.

My favorite chicken is a sea gull colored Americauna I call “ Queenie”. I helped raise her and we have a special bond.

I feed apples and crackers for treats 5 days a week, along with pelleted poultry feed and cracked corn.
