I currently live in a city which completely forbids chickens, and a townhouse complex that forbids - well, basically everything! But we are looking to move and I am having difficulty finding out if the area allows for backyard chickens ! It's rural, but barely. It's residential, but barely. It's ALMOST in Madoc, Ontario, but not quite - it's south of that town. I'm not sure if the property falls into Madoc Township or into Centre Hastings. I'm not sure if it's zoned residential or rural residential. The zone maps are not helpful. I just want enough hens for 12 to so eggs per week !
