hello, just wanted to do the intro thread. Just got my first 5 chickens and they are about 3.5 weeks old now. My daughters school hatched them as a class project so we've had them from the start. Excited to learn a lot from ya'll!

Welcome to the Backyard chickens flock. When your chicks are 6 weeks old, you can post photos of them at "what breed or gender is this." to find out what you have.

Always a fun project...hatching in school. So glad you could bring them home and give them all the lovin'!

Make yourself at home here, ask any questions you may have about your little ones and welcome to our roost! :)

thanks so much! I felt really prepared with all the reading I'd done...until I brought them home lol. I have a new question I'm running here or google about a few times every day just about! Excited to watch them grow and learn from ya'll!
