Just became a member of BYC! Exciting! We have 7 four week old chickys and 4 more on the way! We currently live in upstate NY.

2 Buff Orpingtons
1 Golden Laced Wyandotte
1 Silver Laced Wyandotte

Will arrive next month:
1 Olive Egger

1 Mille Fleur d'uccle Bantam

Apparently, we like a little variety in our flock.

Thanks for the welcome! Learning as we go. Mostly we just have them as pets and the it is so good for the kids to be around animals!

Is there a chick naming forum post? We really need help naming our second Buff Orpington. The first one is named, Brunhilda. It fits her perfectly.

Welcome to BYC! Those breeds are all so great! I love Buff Orpingtons and Easter Eggers! It's good for kids to learn responsibility by taking care of an animal. Maybe eventually you could get your kids involved in 4-H, it's a wonderful program! There's not a chick naming forum, but you could start a new thread and ask some people for names. Good luck on your chicken adventures!
