I started raising chickens about a year ago, I'm a car mechanic for Honda by day and a feathery raptor Wrangler as a hobby on the side (which is quickly becoming more than that)
Started as a small 5 Colombian Wyandotte operation that very quickly escalated into 24 (with more coming soon) various breeds and 5 ducks. I'm in the South east US and figured I may as well join this forum. this forum has been my Bible since I started and now that I have some experience under my belt I'd like to be more active in the community and share in what I've learned.

What breed of ducks do you have and which do you like the best?​

I think they are runner ducks, based on the fact that they seem to stand up taller. (They were given to me by a "I bought em for Easter and dunno how to take care of them" person) They are only a week old now so I'm still waiting to see how they do. So far they are much more of a hastle than baby chicks being in the brooder (with the constant water splashing and what not) but once they are outside with the flock and can splash around in the pond I think I'm going to really love having them.
