In the Brooder
Hi everyone! My name is Nacole.
My family and I are new to chickens and have been doing some research. We are thinking of getting a couple of Easter eggers and a couple Dominiques, and a couple New Hampshires. Looking for friendly breeds for egg production and pets since I know we will get attached pretty quickly.
We are converting an 8'x8' shed for their coop and building a 10'x10' run. Any ideas or tips would be greatly appreciated.
A little about my family and I......I live on a 3 acre hobby farm in southern WI with my husband and 4 kids. We have 3 dogs Kibbles(German shepherd mix), Rex(Chocolate lab), and our pup of the crew Cubby(Yellow lab). We have 3 silly Nigerian dwarf goats, Sarg(He is always in charge and is always the center of attention), Tom( He is the pretty boy of the group), Phil(He is the troublemaker always getting into something and messing around). I am home full time homeschooling our kids and taking care of our farm.
I heard about BYC when I was researching chicken coops on google. I have been hooked ever since. There is so much great information, tips and ideas.
Very interested in- breed suggestions and Tips/Ideas for our shed into coop project.
