Oh yes you can, with geese! I've been goosed by a goose every time I went to the park! Doesn't hurt much, but it's quite annoying, and embarrassing

Hello and welcome to BYC! I remember driving through Front Royal when I was a young child 60 years ago. Beautiful place. You should do well on your 10 acres there. I would check with your local DNR folks to make sure you don't have your coops too close to the river. Best of luck with your flock.
