and sounds like your homestead is going to shape up nicely. Careful with introducing a new dog into your chicken home. Most of mine have never taken to chicken keeping naturally and required supervision and training until they figured out their role. Regardless, they do all peacefully coexist now and I no longer feel a need to look in on them as they are good together. Over the past few years though I have had some pup related setbacks with chicken. Just odds and ends like nasty broody hens can get run off by the dogs when I'm not looking.
