Hello! My name is Caitlin. I am new to chickens, hens and live in a small city that is country like.

we currently realized that one of our four hens - is not a hen so we are super bummed... and now have a dilemma on our hands. We can’t have roosters.... and it’s my daughter chick that she picked... so now she wants a new Hen. How do I get a new hen... and how to I rehome a rooster?!

I saw your post on the rehome forum. You can also try Swaps since you might want a new hen. Be careful though because some people might want to make a dish out of him, try to look into their chicken housing, and why they want the roo.

But is also recommend that they put a price over $20 for the adoption fee so as to decorage using the roo as a meal or pet food.
