Hello! Introducing myself!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Definitely new! Don't even have ours yet! Starting with ducks and will add some chicks later this spring/summer.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
0
(3) What breeds do you have?
Not sure what breeds we will go with, primarily interested in layers or dual purpose birds.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Self-sufficiency and stewardship
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Spending time with my family, working out, gardening, reading
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Wife and mother of 4 awesome kiddos. We currently only have pet rats but adding rapidly to the brood as we finally moved to a home with ample outdoor space. I work in a hospital as a patient care technician (nurse's aid) while I attend Nursing school. Graduating with my BSN next year.
