Hello, and welcome to BYC.

Definitely working on that. They’re 4 weeks old got them a week ago and trying to get them comfortable with me. I’ve set up a small box with a plug of sod and I’m trying to introduce treats in my hand they get scared every time I stick my hand in but if I stay put with it they’ve progressed to at least approaching

Chicks are fearful when approached from above as that is how aerial predators attack. Try approaching them on their own level.

Best to get down to chick level by sitting on the floor. Throw some treats around you and they will eventually come close enough and observe you are not a predator.
