Hi everyone, I'm new here and located on the Big Island of Hawaii. We recently adopted 9 silkies and they are our first ever chickens! We have a beautiful, well built coop for them and we let them out daily to cruise around freely. Supervised of course, as we learned the hard way that a mongoose can easily take a silkie.

We're currently building a fenced run to protect them from that happening again...!
