Your right chickens are awesome. Sure they cost a little but so do cats and dogs with vet bills and food. I love all of them though. Now that I am retired I can enjoy them more. Hope you have many more wonderful days with your chickens and welcome to the BYC family.
 
I must be strange too, because I love to let my chickens out and watch them:)

I even go and sit with them in their coops and watch/ feed them treats! LOL
 
There is nothing more relaxing to me than to go to my chicken pen and just sit among all my birds and listen to them talk to one another. I raise silkies and cochin bantams. They are all so much fun. If I had room I know I would have lots more kinds of birds. Maybe that' s a good thing. Welcome .
