Hi everyone!
I joined this forum because I'm the only person I know who's had chicken pets her entire life, and I still have one pet hen that lives with us. My sister is very knowledgeable about chickens because she's lived in farm environments and so she can handle most of my chicken pet odd behaviors. One example, huh, she's old now, about 10 years old, but still healthy and active, but sometimes she tends to think that some things are eggs, hehe, like my water gun, it had a round tank to fill it with water and apparently because of its round shape she thought it was an egg and just started a nest and sleeping on top of it for a couple of weeks, and getting very defensive about it until my sister worked her magic. So we can't leave round objects around because we know she's gonna think those are her eggs
another thing that brought me here.. She's addicted to Styrofoam
and was wondering how to make her stop. We try to keep it from her, but you know, if we buy something that has been packed with it, or put it in bags and hide it from her, she just finds it and keeps eating it. This is nothing new, she's been doing it for years and well, she's still alive but I wonder if this is normal, she seems like a crackhead at times , she also terrorizes my cat if she thinks he's invading her space, hehe, she's a very cranky odd little hen, oh, did I mention she's a dwarf? Anyway, enough of my mumbling, all in all just wanted to say Hi to all, and it's awesome that there's a forum like this, it was needed!
