Hey everyone! This is my first time posting here. I've always had poultry since I was little but had to give up my birds when I moved off to college. I just moved home after being a way for a few years and couldn't resist starting a flock back up.Feels good to be back into the birds! This is Lucy I bought her from McMurray's as a weeder goose Embden? Anyways here are a few pics of Lucy. I hope to add another gosling as soon as they start showing up in the feed stores.

What a cutey! Who's the little fuzzy butt with Miss Lucy?

Lucy is doing great and growing like a weed! Sadly the duck passed away unexpectedly. I'm in the process of finding a new companion for Lucy but in the mean time I'm spending as much time with her as possible.

Lucy sure is a cutie, I hope you can find her a freind soon and does she have a stuffed animal to cuddle with? that seems to help some.

Isn't it amazing just how fast they grow! My goslings are 2 and a half weeks old. There is no way they could fit into the box they were shipped in now. Gotta love them. Enjoy! Hope you get her a new friend soon. My goslings are with ducklings who are a week younger and the ducklings follow the goslings around. Now my gander has adopted them. It is a little too cold at night for them to be with him. On nice warm days they are out in an enclosure that has a warm shelter for them to retreat into. Boris the gander stays by their side not getting very far and is always on the look out for anyone who might come near his kids! Maybe in a few weeks they can be together at night as well. We shall see! It really depends on the weather.

I took Lucy to school today and my students adore her! She craves attention and in the classroom she gets no shortage of it. I think when she's older I'll put her on weed control in the greenhouse during the day.

Good idea, just remeber geese and other wild life are very sensitive to chemicals like round up and fertilizers.
