Just wanted to say hello!
My name is Tamara. I'm a Nor-Cal stay at home wife and mother and self proclaimed chicken lover lol. I've been raising chickens in my backyard for four years now. Love them!

I currently have nine laying hens. All a year old. Two barred,six reds and a lonely leghorn.
I have ten six week olds which are a mix of welsummers,reds and barred.

I had a flock of 55,but I got sick two years ago so I downsized. Missed them so I've started again. I don't plan on getting to many more,but we have the space so...who knows haha

I'm looking forward to reading,viewing posts/pics and chatting with other chicken lover's.

Nice to meet you Tamara. If you go to "where am I, where are you," in the social forum - you can locate and post on your state thread. California has a few threads by area,ie., Northern Cal etc. You may find chickeners close enough to converse with in person rather than on the internet. Welcome to the BYC flock
