New house came with chickens!

You are right, redinator. However, Google says, "Legbar chickens, including Cream Legbars, lay blue eggs, with colors ranging from pale to medium sky blue. Some Cream Legbars may also lay eggs with a light green tint."
Google 'says' a lot of things that I've learned to be incorrect information or 'old wives tales' regurgitated, because AI doesn't know the difference. When it told me one of my chicks was an EMU I quit asking it anything chicken related.

Right, but the info about cream legbar laying green eggs is correct.

Hello everyone! My name is Mary Ellen. My husband and I bought a new home last December, which included eight chickens and a large chicken coop. Having only cats and dogs before, this is a new experience for us. The breeds consist of Black Morans, Black Copper Morans, and one little lady we are unsure about. I'm going to research this site to figure it out. I love going out in the evenings to collect eggs and feed treats to the girls (we rehomed the one rooster).

My favorite activity is camping. We enjoy visiting the beautiful state parks in Washington and the surrounding states. Our daughter lives close to us, so she takes care of the chickens while we are traveling. Our Beauceron dog loves to camp with us and is not overly interested in the chickens when we are home.

Our daughter, a vet tech, encouraged us to keep chickens when we bought our home, so we are both learning how to care for these curious and intelligent creatures together.
Hello! Welcome to BYC! Have fun here and enjoy your chicken adventure!
