I have finally come up with something to do with my dryer lint. This might sound backwoods, but I've started to line our nest boxes with it. It made sense to me, it's clean, soft, warm and totally disposable. I've been watching them closely, to make sure no one was interested in eating it, and so far so good. It' finally starting to get really cold here at night, we had a hard freeze last night.

that is a great idea!! I will be sure to try that since we have a 5 gallon bucket full of it!

throw the dryer sheets in there too... no more static cling chickens.............................
.........
...or the embarrassment of wrinkled Silkies.

I've heard that dryer sheets are also an insect repellent. Double good-recycling job!
