Yep we see that on the beaches all the time. Great idea, it would sure keep things shady as well.

My DH has really knocked himself out with his creative solutions. I give him lots of credit!

It wouldn't work for those who have climbing, chewing predators as the gaps are too big, but here, there are no racoons, foxes, etc, etc, etc. We do have birds of prey--the island is a wildlife habitat for them. They could not get through the snow fence, plus the run has trees in it--not enough "open" space for them to get their wings flapping. DH is cutting the snow fence around the trees. He's mightily grousing about that, however!!!

And, yes, it is the wooden slat snowfence, not plastic. Thanks, yankeemtfarm for the pics!!
