Ive done a few hours of reading now and have made clear decesions on what to do next. I need a poop board with the horse stall stuff and a kitty litter scoop.
I want to skirt hardware cloth wire around the coop. Though i havent seen anyone mention it, what are your thoughts on stacking cibder blocks two high around the perimitor ontop of that skirting as well? Id like to paint them and grow herbs and things in the holes.

I need more chickens. I fully admit i purchased our 6 (5wk old) hens without any breed research. I went for color verity. We have 1 of each: leghorn, barred rock, silver laced wyandott, rir, buff orpington and an amaraucana.
There are some birds avalable this weekend, gold laced wyandott pullets and unsexed cohins.

I cannot have roosters so im curious do i take a chance purchasing them. What would i do if i did get a rooster?

We just purchased our home in Feb. Our 12x18 coop arrived yesterday and i fear were the dreaded new neighbors. I bearly made the 100ft ordinence. Also thank goodness for ordinences because i can only have 15 birds and i can see how otherwise i could get out of hand. Lol

Hi and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined us.

You may wish to post your coop idea using cinder blocks on the "coops and runs" forum for the best feedback.

Personally, i would not risk getting unsexed birds if roos are out of the question (unless you are happy to raise, then eat them).
