Hello!
New here and also new to Louisville KY.
We moved here in January from southern Indiana.
A few nights ago while goofing off online it hit me that we can totally keep chickens where we live now.
Three days later and we now have a bathroom full of chicks My husband was less than excited at first (I always go full throttle with things) but is now in love with them.
We have six, two cinnamon queens and four Ameruacanas (sp?).
It's been about a decade since I've had livestock so I'm excited.
We will be building their coop over the next few weeks as they grow inside.
Mainly looking for fresh eggs but if these do well we may add a few broilers to the mix.
So..here we are! Can't wait to see them grow.
My son is six and also super excited.
