New in NC Interested in Doves

Hello and welcome to BYC ! I feed the mourning doves we have here in Ohio . They are way past cool . They talk to each other. The group will sit on the electric wires wile the scout comes to the feeder to see if the coast is clear then he call the rest of the crew over . Sometimes I will call and he will answer and come close to see who he is talking to . Good luck with your doves!

You are very kind. I've read they recognize human faces. I also saw a pigeon visits a man in his hospital bed that used to feed them outside that hospital when he was well. It was on Yahoo news today.
