In northeast pa with 7 hens and 1 rooster they are young just waitin til they lay the first egg kids think they are great

, you will love your chicks, I know I do. Great site here, a lot of information to be learned. I started out small also, I started with 5 now I have shhhh don't tell anybody a lot. 28 hens 1 roo, 18 new born banty's, 9 in the brooder, 13 in the grow out pen and 7 ducks. OMG that is a lot.

from Washington!! The first egg is the best!! Especially if you have been waitin a LOOOOONG time for it and one of the kiddos runs in that house saying "looooook mommaaaaaaaaay, an eeeeeeeeeeegg!!!!!!" What a totally, worth the wait reaction and feeling!!
