I'm so new at this that I don't even have chickens yet! I actually have an incubator full of eggs (fingers crossed).
I'm a mom of 3 kids and 2 dogs. I just bought a fantastic old house in Stoutsville, Ohio and it already has a chicken coop. It's actually an old shed, but it was obviously where the previous owners kept chickens. I'm going to have to fence in an area, it looks like it used to be fenced, but it's gone.
