(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I caught the bug from visiting my Dad's farm. I purchased my first 2 chicks in early April of this year. They are just like Potato chips.........no one can get just one. or 2 or ???????? I am Addicted.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 1 large Rooster (maybe 2), 5 Bantam Roosters, 16 large hens (maybe 15), 3 Bantam Hens, 2 Geese, 4 Ducks, 31 chicks and 20 ducklings. I have 12 Duck eggs in the incubator due on 9/25/15.

(3) What breeds do you have? I currently have 2 African Geese, 2 Pekin Ducks, 2 Cayuga Ducks, 6 Pekin Ducklings, 4 Welsh Harlequin Ducklings, 6 Rouen Ducklings, 4 Buff Ducklings, 12 Ancona Duck Eggs in the incubator due 9/25/15, 1 Jersey Giant Roo (maybe one more....waiting on a crow or egg), 5 Bantam Roo's, Barred Rocks, RIR's, Production Red's, Red Sex Link and a couple that I am not sure about yet. :)

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? In doing research on the internet.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have a wonderful supportive husband who is becoming a pro at coop/pen building, 4 children, 1 corn snake (He was abandoned when child 2 went off to college) and a female sugar glider. I work for Phillips 66 in Finance and love my time chillin with my feathered babies. I would like to venture into honey bees and some other preservation activities.

so glad you have joined us.

Sounds like you have your hands quite full with a job, the fowl and your other pets. A snake and a sugar glider in the same house, now that would be a challenge :)

Do you know what breeds you have? You can put up individual photos of them at "what breed or gender is this." Age at time of photo is very important. We love to see the photos too and give our best guess.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You have a very good and thorough introduction. All of us here at BYC have OCD (Obsessive Chicken Disorder) and very few of us are immune to "chicken math.") If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is loads of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
