Brand new with chickens. I just ordered my first chicks & they should be arriving the week of 3/28.

I ordered 19 (6 Barred Rock, 6 Buff Orphington, 6 Golden Laced Wyandotte & 1 surprise chick that comes free with the order)

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
We have an old bank barn on our property. There is a very large room on the back of it that at one time was a chicken coop. I was googling nesting boxes & coop designs & came across this website.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My main other hobby is my horses. I have 4 of them currently ranging in age from 1.5 years to 12 years old. Three are Arabs & 1 Quarter Horse.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We just bought our farm last May. Not a very big one, but big enough for us. We have a little over 9 acres. Right now we have 4 horses, 4 cats (1 indoor & 3 barn) & 1 dog. No children yet. We just ordered our first chickens which I am very excited about. They will be arriving in about 2 weeks. I am a little nervous as I have never had chickens before (pretty much every other kind of animal you can think of, just not chickens). I have everything ready for them...now just the waiting..............
