Hello. I'm new to the forum! I live in the UK and I have been keeping chickens from a very young age. I've been wanting to purchase an incubator for quite a while now. I've raised chicks from broody hens but I think there's something special about actually hatching the eggs yourself. What would be a good automatic incubator for a decent price here in the UK? I have looked at Brinsea but they're just all out of my price range unfortunately. I won't be using it 24/7 just for a bit of a hobby really.
I'd be glad of some suggestions
Thanks

I bought a Brinsea Advance 2 from their website/scratch and dent.
I bought the smallest incubator because I don't think I'd ever want to hatch more than 7.
I set 7 eggs one did not develop but the other 6 all hatched. I'm sold on Brinsea. If I were to buy another, larger it would be Brinsea.
I definitely understand the sticker shock though. Have you checked on the Nurture Right 360? It holds 22 eggs and gets excellent reviews.

Thanks for the replies!
Unfortunately they dont ship to my address which is really annoying. Maybe someone from UK has some suggestions.

Yes if your going to do less eggs it is cheaper. Nurture Right 360 is the way to go if your going to do 20 eggs.

Hello, I'm from the UK, although they may be expensive or out of your price range I'd really recommend going for a Brinsea incubator. I started out just like you, only using my incubator for just a bit of a hobby but it soon turned into an addiction and my Brinsea mini 2 advance was just not enough so I upgraded to the Brinsea ovation 28 eco. I got this incubator new for around £230. My incubator has been running since the start of this year and by selling chicks I've managed to make enough to cover the cost of the incubator. Other incubators you could look at are RCOM and River Systems.

This is my go to shop when it comes to buying incubators they have great customer service and very fast reliable delivery.
Hope this helps! :)

That's great! :)
Thanks so much for the help. Maybe I will get a Brinsea then. Hmmm:hmm.
If you do end up buying an incubator from the incubator shop let me know because I've got a spare 5% discount code which I can send to you :)
