new incubator

I just won an auction on ebay for a mini incubator. cant wait for it to get here so I can get some more chicks on the way before spring. I have some ideas of which breeds I want so can't wait to get started. i didn't want to spend a fortune on a big one till I get my feet wet with the little one and 7 at a time is plenty. My winning bid was .99, but the shipping was 36.99. will keep ya'll up to date about babies.

Make sure you don't take the readings from any thermometer built into the incubator on faith. Get other thermometers that you can test for accuracy to compare to it. The built in ones are often known for being wildly inaccurate. Good luck with your hatching!

I learned not to take any new thermometer on faith, the hard way. I will never depend on just one thermometer EVER again.
