So today I was with my chickens, and when one of my chickens, Opal, attempted to steal my 7-year-old tomcat’s food. He - whose name is Sherbert - retaliated with a swipe. I didn’t see anything at first, so I didn’t worry.

But, when I took the following photo - CEBF2A29-7878-419B-9B9B-54E75C6C0BF1.jpeg

I realized the poor girl was hurt! Sherbert is notoriously dumb, so I kinda expected this from him... and he’s food possessive, so hopefully Opal has learned a lesson from all of this, Angel should’ve too-

Angel (a White Leghorn) got injured from him (late) last year. I didn’t think that Sherbert would do that at the time...

I’m positive now, because he also swiped at a 1300+ lb steer (cow) today...

If you’re wondering, this is Angel (she’s all better now, don’t worry!) - C55A02C6-BA1A-4E18-B532-2F578C20331F.jpeg

And this is Sherbert - EFF1D6B3-5AEF-4C98-A239-72375D063D0D.jpeg
