Hi Y’all,
New to chick raising, although my Dad had an egg farm when I was young.
Got my 3 Isa Brown girls when they were one day old. Kept them in the house
till 6 weeks. Didn’t know how much I would love this and my girls! They are so much fun and so easy. Its been an adventure though
they are 5 months 2 weeks old, and have progressed like clockwork.
I have a ‘farm’ on acreage in the county in SE Georgia. One paint horse, 2 Goldens, 1 black heeler mix.
Chicks started laying at 4 months easy peasy, one egg a day from each in the morning. No problems until one stopped laying going on
2 nd week now. No changes, eating fine, behavior same. Had one membrane egg a few days after it stopped laying at night. Nothing since.
Any thoughts? Suggestions? Anyone had this happen?
Thanks!
Susan
