(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
- I am not new to chickens but i am exploring hatching out my own chickens and
keeping rare breeds!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
- I currently have 10 chickens
(3) What breeds do you have?
- I normally get meat birds every summer to raise for food but this year i got a mix of egg layers/pretty mutts and one polish. I'm looking to get ayam cemani soon!
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
- I love discovering each chickens personalities and of course... free eggs lol
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
- I train horses, dogs, birds, pigeons and I also breed racing pigeons. I do rescue and rehab for many species but my main focus is raptors! I also love gaming on my pc
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
- Ive got 50+ animals right now! I love anything animal and genetics so im super interested to start breeding chickens and learn more about standards in their breeds especially.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
- Ive been a long time lurker to be honest. I always come here to see similar questions i ask being answered and ive finally decided to join since ill be getting into breeding rare breeds.
