New-ish to chickens, but new to BYC

Hi BYC! My husband an I both grew up in the country, moved to the city and started a business, and now we were able to buy some acreage and move right back to the country and start our own little homestead. Gardens are planted, lots of yardwork and landscaping going on, and chicks are growing fast. I ordered 15 SLW (12 pullets & 3 cockerels) from McMurray, and received 16 (12 pullets & 4 cockerels) and 1 rare chick (which I think is a Dominique cockerel). They're currently 2.5 weeks old and crazy little balls of energy. Before my order, I came to BYC many times for research and questions. I'm looking forward to continuing to do so and picking up much more knowledge. Thanks!!
