Can't have any crowing

Nope. One of my pullets from the breeder turned out to be a rooster. Luckily for me the breeder will take him back and replace with pullet. Not sure if you hatched yours or if you can do the same thing, make an exchange.

I hatched them myself as I always do. I have found the most success with having tame birds and incorporating them in to my main flock with handling them from day 1.

I too had to rehome my flock last year. I’m starting fresh this March.

I got 8 day old chicks in Aug. adopted 4 more, culled 4, added 4 6 week old chicks. 2 of the adopted are cockerels. Got my 1st 2 eggs today! So exciting!
