New Jersey

That is from Highland Park’s code book.
Your area is more densely populated than Jackson. I originally didn't want roosters but after getting an Ameracauna pullet and finding out the second was a cockerel, we decided to keep it and let them breed. Unfortunately, those were lost. So now I'm starting a new flock.

If you were to keep a rooster in a coop until 8 am I don’t see where it wpuld cause a problem. Even if it crowed in there it would be too muffled to bother anyone in my opinion.
Yeah that could work, but knowing my neighbors they’d call the health department as soon as they heard a crow.

Hi, Wall twp here. Which doesn't allow "raising of swine or fowl." Anyone else from this area and have chickens anyway? :) Or have tried to change the laws? I'm starting my research on what I need to do to try to persuade the town to change the law.

I hope you succeed. Chickens are great to have. :D

Hi there!
North western NJ checking in!
I’ve posted this in some other threads, thought I’d give it a shot here too...
This last season we took in a drake that needed a home, and shortly thereafter lost a few ducks to a fox. Now our ratio is skewed and we need to rehome some drakes. We have a Cayuga, a Rouen, and a Black Swedish. All are fertile and ready to meet the duck of their dreams ❤️ Free to a good home, we love these guys and know they are not happy in a situation with too many other males. Happy to send pictures if wanted.
