You're going to have to contact your township's zoning board for the regulations regarding poultry. In Middletown, there are NO regulations - I pretty much can do what I want. Other towns strictly forbid poultry, although I know people in those towns who have them on the quiet.

Thanks to everyone for the help, ill try to see what I can get done Ill keep you posted.
I will still check back for any chance of new info.
Thanks!

Kinda depends on the breeds you want, and what their purpose is. If you're just looking for pets for the backyard, the best place is your local feed store. I think the Agways have them until the end of July - better call first. Also, the Ocean County Fair is on until Sunday - there is a very active 4-H there - your daughter should probably join. You can probably get birds through some of the members. There's always the hatcheries, but you need to order at least 25, except for my pet chicken, which I think is three. Check locally first, though.

So lets have a chick chat! I will have some time available in the fall. I am going to talk to the 4-her's too to see if they'd be interested. Would have to be on a Sunday for parking and all. What do you guys think?

Fall's going to be tough for me - I have to save up my "chicken days" for the Crossroads Show in October - I'll be gone almost a week! Plus, it's my last semester with classes, so I have to get all of my homework done before I go.

I'm sorry!! It was so much fun last time!

Hey, how's Jane? Saw the pics of her and your garden on FB - very nice! And your kids are so cute!

I set some Polish eggs on the 14th. If anyone would be interested in purchasing any chicks when they hatch, lemme know
