Hello just received 14 tiny new keets.
Are there specific bedding requirements for them they came with something I’m not sure what it was for bedding I need to know what to safely use. Thanks

I live on a sand dune so I use sand as the bedding in my brooder. It is not recommended to put keets on wood chips for the first couple of weeks because they may eat the wood chips. Without grit in their system, they will not be able to digest the wood and can become plugged up and die. You can try paper towels or newspaper. Some people use a regular terry cloth towel that they keep specifically for brooding chicks, etc. and wash after they are done using them.
