I'm glad you joined.

It sounds like you have a nice little flock! Wyandottes are my favorite breed, and I hope you enjoy yours!

I'm glad you joined us!

You have two wonderful breeds of chicken. Wyandottes in particular are one of my favorite breeds.

Hi I am new to raising chickens. I work 2 jobs and only have weekends off so my question is when my chicks start to lay eggs how long can the eggs stay in the coop without going bad in this Las Vegas brutal heat. They are 7 weeks old and I believe they would be ready to lay eggs around summer time. Do these eggs go bad? should I eat them? or what can I do?

I would collect once a day when you check their food and water. I usually grab them at the end of the day when I close up for the night unless I'm around more I'll grab them throughout the day.
