New layer cuckoo maran questions

I'm new to the whole chicken raising thing but I have 3 20 week old pullets (or I assume) and only our cuckoo maran has started laying. She's been laying a lot of shell less eggs which I have read is normal but for how long does it go on before I need to start for another cause other than she's new to egg laying? Also, I put fake eggs in the nest to encourage her to lay in the nesting box instead of around the yard but now she keeps sitting on them until I scoot her off. How can I encourage her laying eggs in there without encouraging broody behavior?

Some hens will lounge in the boxes for hours before actually laying. I would leave her be for now. Glitches can take a few days to weeks to work out.
