We have a 4-5 moth old EE that has been having difficulties getting this egg laying thing down. She's only been laying for about two weeks now and she has really only laid 1 egg that I'd call "normal". She either has a soft egg, two eggs at once with both being soft, or a massive double yolk. She has plenty of protein, oyster shells, limited stress, and her sister (a very similar looking EE from the same batch) has been laying without trouble almost every day around the same time. Twice I've come out to let them out and found two soft eggs under where she is roosting and with there being no signs of any of the other girls laying yet I've assumed they were layed on the middle of the night.

As we still within the "she's still trying to figure this thing out" range? Did we just get lucky that her sister is such a dependable layer? Attached is what we found in the bedding under her roost this morning. The only one close to her was the aforementioned sister but she lays blue/green.

Thanks!

Yes, some take longer.......can take up to a month or so for things to smooth out.
Maybe.
Not all EE lay blue/green.

Thanks! Yeah, I was saying the other Color Pack EE (the only other who is laying) lays bkue/green, the girl in question lays a linking brown, as seen in the photo.
