When one little issue is resolved another will surely arise!

We have new layers (yay)! One is not using the nesting box, instead laying in the furthest corner of the raised coop. I can squeeze in there daily (if need be) but it's not desirable. Anyway to redirect her? Maybe a box or something upside down in that corner? Add fake eggs or golf balls to the nesting box? There are real eggs in the nesting boxes daily (we have four and they actually only use one) so I'm not sure that's necessary.
Full disclosure: no idea which hen is doing this. When I climb in there are two with significant interest and they seem to be in and out of the coop the most lately.

Yes, putting something in that corner should help to deter her from laying there.
Yes, putting fake eggs/golf balls in the nests will help bait them to lay there.

I keep fakies in all the nests all the time to 'spread the love'....it works most the time to reduce traffic jams.
Might leave one nest without a fakie.
I had a pullet once who refused to lay in the nest with the fakie when she first started laying,
she eventually got over it tho.
