new layer....question!

Hi there! One of our hens, Americauna or EE (I don't really know), started laying a couple of weeks ago. She was "on" for 5 days in a row and then took 3 days off. For the past 7 days she has been giving us eggs! Now, the rest of the hens are not laying and are supposed to give us brown eggs (gold laced wyandotte and buff orps) so we are pretty sure all of these eggs have come from the same girl. Is this common for new layers? I thought that they were usually a 3-4 days "on" and 1-2 days "off". Any thoughts? BTW - we're not complaining....we LOVE the little blue eggs!!!!!

It may be too hot. Ive been having eratic egg production in this 90*+ heat. 3 eggs one day 8 the next out of 9 eligible hens(3 are pullets that just started). That would be my guess...let's see what the others think!
