New layers ... ?

My 1st flock of layers, 1st eggs started arriving today. I put some plastic eggs filled with sand in the next boxes, and so far the eggs layed have been in the nest
boxes, but here's my question ?
Today I watched one of my barred rocks lay an egg, then she left and a black sex link jumped on the egg and wouldn't move ... so I'm thinking a have a broody hen already !! Should I start removing the plastic eggs from the next boxes .... ?

You could, I just remove the eggs from the girl that wants to go broody. Then she will move to another nest, and I remove those. .. and so on and on and on... And in about 21 days she figures it out. The problem with taking all the plastic eggs out to soon is the other hens might not get the memo.
