Hi, I’m very new to chickens. Last year, my brother in law got 3 chicks, and while he has been the main caretaker, I’ve helped and researched about them. We currently have 2 mixed breed Easter egger hens, 1 leghorn rooster, and 3 chicks (
more hens, please!)
We live in a nice rural area, and mostly got chickens to eat the byproducts of my bro’s microgreens business, but might someday expand our operation to be able to sell fresh eggs with the greens.
I like to garden, sew, crochet, read, learn about native plants and animals, and watch TV. I’m a wife, mom and stepmom, reluctant homesteader (while a wood stove is cozy, it’s a lot of work if it’s the only way to heat your house…), environmental historian, Christian, endometriosis-haver, and cat lover. Thanks for being welcoming!
