1) i am new to chickens. 11 weeks new. I was talked into it by a few coworkers who have farms and or chickens already. Said you’ll LOVE IT!
(2) I got three French black Marans 11weeks ago. And one of my coworkers was up night feeding baby goats and saw out of the corner of her eye, baby chick running. She investigated, one of her hens was killed and a few more chicks. She asked if I could take it since I had a brooder set up. So four chickens total.
(3) black Marans and possibly a cochin(?)
(4) i have been so shocked in how smart they are, their individual personalities. And I love the fact they get in my lap and fall asleep.
(5) my kids are grown, I have bulldog and a mixed dog breed. I am an RN. My dogs are pretty cool with the chicks when out. Chickens aren’t sure about them fully.

I need help with the baby shark I got from my coworker. I am starting to think it’s a rooster. I can’t have roosters where I live (although the neighborhood dogs are much louder). The three Marans are 11 weeks. Baby shark is about 9 1/2 - 10 weeks(?) can’t get them together. It’s king fu fighting. I’d like some opinions on what baby shark is. I will try and post pic
