Hello all. My name is Paul and me and my family are from Connecticut. We will be new chicken owners starting next Tuesday (2 chicks). We love this website and are looking forward to some support along the way. I'm sure we'll have plenty of questions along the way. So hello everybody, pleasure to meet you!

Hello there. We're getting 2 Buff Orpington's. Out neighbors who have chickens said they'd be good starter chickens. Hoping they were right. We pick them up on Tuesday.

We are trying to get a 3rd chick but there are no more available where we bought the other two we'll be getting on Tuesday. There's a chance they'll have more available Weds. We'll see.

Why just 2 chicks? It's best to start with 3. If something happens to one of the chicks, the other is left all alone which is a very bad thing.
Do you have your coop and run build done or well underway?

Hello. We thought 2 would be good to start with. Now that we know 3 is better we're going to try to get a 3rd.

We have our coop built and I have just have to put together the run which I'll be doing tomorrow. We're very excited (especially my wife and kids).
