Hi, everyone. I am new to this forum, but have been "lurking" for a few weeks now. I am struck by the positive tone and the helpfulness of all the members. This, I'm sure, is due to the moderators, who do a fantastic job!

I don't have any chickens (yet). DW says she does not like "creatures with beaks and feathers". I'm still working on her, though.

I sure do enjoy reading the posts.

I never thought I would be a chicken person either. But the chicks are what really got me. I don't know how anyone can resist a chick. Just do your research and get her a very nice gentle breed.

Kitsap County? I was stationed at Kitsap County Airport for a month (many, many years ago) when my ship (USS Enterprise) was in dry dock at Bremerton. I have fond memories of that time.

Welcome the the forum. Whatever you do, don't ask any of us on here if you should get more chickens, b/c the answer is always yes!
