New Member - Charlotte Area

Hello. I'm new to the group and raising chickens. I did spend some amount of time around them at my cousins farm as a child but that's been years ago.

Is there anyone in the Charlotte area that can help me out with pointers on getting started, local regulations, etc? I'm looking primarily for eggs but would like a few for meat as we'll. I will be moving there in about a month or so and are looking to get started relatively quickly after we're settled.
